Job Title: Installation Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Permit Management:

    • Handle all aspects of permit applications, renewals, and inspections.
    • Ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
    • Serve as the primary contact for municipalities, ensuring that all documentation is completed on time.
  2. Installation Oversight:

    • Manage and oversee all installation projects from start to finish.
    • Coordinate with the sales, procurement, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Ensure that all equipment, materials, and labor are scheduled and available before each job begins.
  3. Problem Solving & Decision Making:

    • Act as the point person for troubleshooting during installations.
    • Resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively, minimizing delays.
    • Develop contingency plans and manage unexpected challenges like jobsite conditions, customer concerns, or last-minute adjustments.
  4. Team Leadership:

    • Lead and manage installation teams, including technicians, subcontractors, and support staff.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project updates, safety, and performance.
    • Mentor and train team members, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  5. Process Optimization:

    • Analyze and improve existing installation processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
    • Create standardized procedures and checklists for the team to follow.
    • Implement strategies to minimize downtime and resource waste during installations.
  6. Customer Communication:

    • Serve as the liaison between the customer and the installation team.
    • Provide regular updates to customers on installation timelines and any potential issues.
    • Address any customer complaints or concerns, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  7. Budget and Cost Management:

    • Work with the finance team to manage installation budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within cost limits.
    • Track costs related to labor, materials, and permits, optimizing where possible to improve margins.
  8. Vendor & Contractor Relationships:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
    • Ensure all third-party contractors meet quality and performance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management within the electrical, HVAC, or plumbing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of permit processes and local regulations.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think on their feet.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with business management software, such as ServiceTitan, for tracking projects and coordinating teams.
